Classical Music Re-imagined Claudia Rüegg, a musician from Switzerland, who is currently on a residency in India will perform at Olive, New Delhi. Her broad repertoire includes en emphasis on 20th century music. Rüegg works as an interpreter often in an interdisciplinary context together with artists, dancers and film makers. Claudia Rüegg is the producer of „forum andere musik“, a series of contemporary music, arts and literature in Switzerland (www.forumanderemusik.ch). Claudia is on a residency in India from 5 Sep 2009 - 24 Feb 2010 The residency is supported by Pro Helvetia.
Seminar on ‘Governance and Diversity: Comparing Media Systems’ Seminar at the Centre for Culture, Media & Governance (CCMG), Jamia Millia Islamia with delegates from the Institut für Publizistikwissenschaft und Medienforschung (IPMZ), University of Zurich, Zurich. The Centre for Culture, Media & Governance (CCMG), Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi is organising a seminar on ‘Governance and Diversity: Comparing Media Systems’ from 16 to 18 Feb, 2010. Prof. Dr Michael Latzer, Prof. Dr Frank Esser, Prof. Dr Gabriele Siegert, Dr Matthias Künzler and Dr Manuel Puppis from the Institut für Publizistikwissenschaft und Medienforschung (IPMZ), University of Zurich, Zurich, have been invited to speak at the seminar. This is an important step in academic and institutional collaboration between CCMG and IPMZ, both departments specialising in the field of media policy, in their respective countries. Baajaa Gaajaa 2010 In an effort to promote the contemporary music scene in Switzerland, Pro Helvetia New Delhi is participating in Baajaa Gaajaa 2010, a unique music expo that brings musicians and scholars on one platform. In an effort to promote the contemporary music scene in Switzerland, Pro Helvetia New Delhi is participating in Baajaa Gaajaa 2010, a unique music expo that brings musicians, scholars, instrument makers, indie record labels, publishers and technicians together on one platform.
Baajaa Gaajaa is a four-day event dedicated to Indian music in all its diversity and richness. Scheduled to take place from 5 to 7 of February 2010 in Pune, it will bring together organisations and individuals connected with music and music-making in 21st century India. The event provides a platform for seminars on a variety of themes related to the music industry. Film screenings on music are followed by interactive sessions where the audience can interact with directors and musicians.
Carine Zuber, Member of the Pro Helvetia Board will be visiting India in February 2010. Carine is also the Director of the Cully Jazz Festival. She will participate in the Baajaa Gaajaa Festival in Pune between 5 and 7 February.

The grey chick called Krunk is funny and adorable but no one knows where he comes from with dog hair, webbed feet and a bird beak. Krunk wants to know who he is.
