Mumbai is to witness its 1st European Film Festival, curated by Taj Enlighten Film Society brought to you by Brooke Bond Taj Mahal and supported by the Consulate General of Switzerland in Mumbai. This festival attempts to relocate the myth-like status of European cinema

The Swiss film package has as its backbone, a retrospective of the Swiss master, Daniel Schmid who was also a colleague of the legendary German film maker Rainer Fassbinder. The contemporary curations include films that view Switzerland as the ‘other’ within the discourse of the European ‘self.’ According to Mr. Werner Nievergelt, Consul General of Switzerland in Mumbai, “The Swiss film package will consist of important Swiss films, emphasizing their strong documentary aesthetic.”
